Meet Sophia!



I thought it was pretty cool that we captured this on video. Dane is still talking about "Sophia." Unfortunately, Sophia decided not to have her babies in this bird house, but another bird (whom we named Loren!) did have her chicks in our other bird house. We've heard them chirping in their home all week. We expect they'll be off to explore our wonderful world any day now and hopefully we'll catch a glimpse before they leave. :)

Sunday Snapshot x2!

I know I've been MIA lately, so I thought it would be okay to share more than one Sunday Snapshot! I'll blame my lack of posts on our BEAUTIFUL weather, lots of play dates, gardening, a ton of fun in our perfect backyard (more pics on that later), birthday parties, a retirement party, a few ear infections (poor Jaeger Ray!) and the fact that summer has come early here and Dan is already working like a dog at Ward Air.


This picture was taken right before Noah's birthday party. I think this is such a sweet picture and I especially LOVE Jaeger's hand holding on to Dane. Don't you just want to eat these two little guys up? :)

Wee-oooo

Dane is in love with fire trucks these days, so we decided to take him by the fire station. At our local fire station you can just pop in and if they aren't busy they'll give you a tour. So with donuts in hand and a very eager 2 1/2 year old we were off. Our firefighter tour guide was awesome (and his name is completely escaping me right now!) and he did a great job explaining everything to Dane. Dane pretty much walked around with a stunned expression on his face - he was slightly overwhelmed as he got to see fire trucks, ambulances, two airport firetrucks, an ATV and all the gear (boot, hats, etc.) But he was definitely in Heaven!

Isn't that the sweetest face?
Besides being sick, we had a fantastic weekend!
(Thankfully, it's just me that's sick.)
Kids Workshop at Home Deep, visited a petting zoo, yummy samples at Costco, a trip to the park, sunny afternoons in the sandbox and riding around the front yard in our wagon.
Oh, and I got to take an awesome nap today - thanks Daddy!
Life couldn't get much better than this.
