Merry Christmas Eve

Here are a few photos from our recent trip to see Santa Claus. Dane was thrilled to see Santa arrive in a "ha-cock", but not so thrilled to see him up close and personal. We didn't want a repeat of last years picture, so Dane doesn't have a picture with Santa this year. Oh well. He does, however, really like to sing "Santa Claus is Coming To Town" and "Must Be Santa" but is quite adamant about not liking him. Whenever he is asked about Santa his response is "I do not like Santa Claus!"

We're still not sure what in the WORLD we were thinking taking back to back vacations with 2 young children, but once we get out lives back under control here in Juneau we'll let you know. :)

We only need to get through 2 plane rides and 220 miles on the road with a potentially crabby 2 year old and a crying 3 month old....but it will be worth it! (Or so we hope!!) Stay tuned for our adventures from Rocky Point, Mexico in two weeks. :)

Birthday Bliss

Doesn't take much to make me happy.....

A Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks and a trashy magazine recapping the love affair of Jason and Molly. Yep, I'm kind of a reality junkie. (I suppose there could be worse things!)
Thanks to my sweet husband for bringing this home last week to help me celebrate my birthday month. It so made my day. :)

Ode to Auntie Jenna

Okay, so it's not an actual poem. It's a couple of paragraphs about how Jen is so awesome and "Ode to Auntie Jenna" sounded more exciting than "Auntie Jenna's Visit."

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED having Auntie Jenna here for a few days last month!! If it were up to me she and her sweet family would be moving into the house that is up for sale right next door. Our days would be filled with kids madly running around the house while we sit in our jammies drinking French Vanilla Coffee Mate with a splash of coffee in it (yep, you read that correctly - it's a little disgusting just how much we actually disguise our coffee!) Alas, that is most likely never going to happen, so I must relish in the memories we made while she was here.

For those of you that don't know Jen, she is the kindest and most loving person I have ever met! She left her own babies at home to come help out our growing family. I thought she'd spend time holding Jaeger, entertaining Dane, doing some laundry, making dinner, etc. Not only did she do all of that she actually (are you sitting down?) slept with Jaeger for 3 nights and would bring him to me when he needed to be fed so that I could get some sleep! Now, that's love! In fact, I'd venture to guess that Jenna loves my kids just as much as she loves her own.
