Look who's walking! This video was from a little over a week ago.
And here's another short clip from Friday. Isn't it amazing what can happen it just a week?

Sunday Snapshot

Well, the sun has definitely disappeared and the rain & wind have arrived! It's been downright nasty out the last few days. We still managed to get out yesterday despite the sideways rain coming down. Juneau had a Play For Free Day hosted by the Parks and Rec Department where they had all their facilities open for free to the public. We decided to head to Mt. Jumbo for their toddler open gym time. The boys had a blast even though we had to elbow our way in. We even left with a giraffe balloon animal which was a highlight for Dane. We then decided to stop by Project Playground on the way home to see what they had and we certainly didn't have to elbow our way in there! I think the above picture shows why. We managed to stay long enough for a bowl of chili (which Jaeger Ray LOVED!) and a cup of hot chocolate. But after about 5 minutes, Dane was ready to go home. And quite frankly, so was I!

Another first for Jaeger Ray

Coloring with Crayolas!
We were at the Juneau-Doulgas City Museum and they had this great interactive children's room. The room was set up like a classroom from the early 1900s and filled with dress up clothing, vintage toys and games, antique school desks, and a science area with animal skulls and a place to touch their fur and guess which animal it came from. The boys had a great time playing with all the vintage toys and seeing the exhibits. And as you can tell above Jaeger enjoyed some good 'ol fashioned coloring.
Here's a picture of Dane's friends, Kellen and Maddy, who met us at the museum.

Sadly, our Indian Summer has come to an end!
Knowing the end was near, we took full advantage of this unusual fall weather. Dan texted (yep, I'm finally up with the times and I now text!) and said pack up the kids, grab a few potatoes and dessert at the store and head to Auke Rec for a BBQ. I was so exited!
Unfortunately, Daddy didn't get off early at Ward Air like we thought, so it was just me and the boys. We still made the most of it though.
The boys enjoying the sun on their backs and dirt in their hands!

The incredible view.
A collage of Jaeger Ray and all that sand! He sure ate A LOT of it. :)
Smile for Daddy!

Dan did manage to get off early the next day, which was the very last day of our incredible weather. So we packed up the kids & Bailey, the essentials for S'mores, and headed back to Auke Rec.
Here's our bonfire.

That's pretty much the only picture from our night as we were running after Jaeger Ray. This new found love for walking has us on our toes!
I did manage to get this photo on the way home. It really doesn't do it justice, but it was the MOST AMAZING moon I think I've ever seen. I love that it's tucked in the trees. I actually stopped on the side of the road and got out to grab my camera in the back.

A Hunting They Will Go!
Look who made the Juneau Empire!

Yep, that's Bailey and our friend Erik. The other guy in the back -- that's Dan. :)
Two Things to Note -
1. They're clearly not being safe! Shame on them for not wearing helmets. Dane would definitely not approve. ;)
2. Notice that Erik is towing a baby bike trailer. Don't worry there are no babies in there, just guns and ammo. ;)
