Two steps forward, many steps back!

We went to the doctor yesterday morning and found out that in addition to the flu bug that Jaeger has, his ear infection from 10 days ago had not cleared up one bit! So he had to have an antibiotic injection. He's so miserable - it just breaks my heart.

He's too tired and sick to even play with his beloved fire truck!

We did manage to get a few smiles out of him after a short nap.

*Can anyone else tell he's lost weight in his chipmunk cheeks?

Sadly, today wasn't much better. His day started off by getting another antibiotic shot and to make matters worse he's been throwing up again and having diarrhea.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better! We're going on Day #6 now!
We just want our sweet mischievous Jaeger Ray back. ;)

Still not a 100%

But he ate that piece of bread and it stayed in his tummy!! I'll take that small victory. :)

More Fun in the Snow

Here are a few more pictures from yesterday's awesome day (until around 5pm when the vomiting began. More on that below!)

Sadly, all this fun came to a screeching halt and Jaeger is officially sick. I was hoping it was just the sugar overload, but our poor little man has thrown up a few more times this morning and can't even keep Pedialyte down. Thankfully, Dane is at school right now so it's nice and quiet for Jaeger Ray. I've never seem him so mellow. He's just been hanging out in my arms. He finally fell asleep and I'm hoping he'll get a good nap in to kick this fever and whatever virus is running through him.

Hopefully, he'll be back to this smiley guy in no time.

Until then, I best get to the 3rd load of laundry of the day! Every time Jaeger Ray throws up I have to throw his blankies in the wash. He sadly reached into the dryer to try and grab his beloved airplane blankie as I was putting it in to dry.
Poor guy has to use his back-up blankie!

Beyond Beautiful

When the sun is shining here in Juneau, there's nothing more spectacular. Add a sprinkling of snow on the trees and it's just breathtaking. Take a look at this amazing place we live in.

And here we are taking a walk around the neighborhood.

I had such a fun day hanging out with my boys today! It was an extra day off that I wasn't expecting! Dan had to work and we didn't have anyone to watch the boys, so I got to cash in on some time I had given the district for an in-service I worked a full day at awhile ago.

We played firefighter and astronaut, read a ton of stories, played outside in the snow, went for a stroll in the neighborhood, pretended we were ice skating in the snow, and even got an ice cream at McDonald's with Gramma Wenny. The best part of the day though, was when the boys and I sat on the red bench on our porch and ate a lollipop while the sun shined in our faces. It was pure bliss.
All in all, it was a perfect day!*

*Until Jaeger Ray threw up twice after his late afternoon nap!!! After a bath and some snuggling he seemed back to his old happy self. Let's hope that it was the lollipop and ice cream that did him in and not some ugly virus creeping into his sweet little body. ARGH!

Movie Monday

Curious to know what got them smiling so big?

A ride on Daddy of course!

And here's a video of the fun.

Who knew?

That these spices could occupy Jaeger's attention for so long!

He stood on that chair for nearly 45 minutes stacking these spice jars.

Ready, Set, Stack!

That's 1

And 2

Now 3

Let's see if I can do 6

Don't fall, don't fall - this is for the Grand Championship of Spice Stacking!

And we did it!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our Valentine's Day was spent at Dr. Neyhart's office checking out Jaeger's seal like cough and we ultimately left with an end diagnosis of a bulging double ear infection. Poor little man! This is ear infection #5 in less than 9 months, so just like his big brother - ear tubes may be in his future.

Thankfully, we celebrated Valentine's Day before the actual day so we didn't have to miss out on any of the fun. :)

Dane's preschool had their Valentine's Party on the previous week and it was so fun watching him pass out all of his Valentine's. Here he is in action...

Here are Dane's Valentine's. It's hard to tell, but the yellow part of the bee is Dane's thumbprint. And I'm proud to say he wrote his name on each and every Valentine (with a little hand holding from Mommy, otherwise I don't think all the letters would have actually made it on the paper!)

Here are a few special Valentine's for some special friends. We made one for Dane too, so he could play with it! This was by far his favorite Valentine's activity. Yep, Lindsi, that one is for Payton! Sadly, we weren't able to deliver it on Monday because Jaeger was too sick and it's still sitting in the laundry room waiting to take off! :)

Here's Dane checking out his loot!

And here he is the next morning making a placemat out of his Valentine's. He loves eating his meals on his new placemat.

We hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day and took time to give all those you love an extra smooch today! ;)
