Hoonah

I'm loving the maternity leave life! We just picked up on a Sunday afternoon and rode the ferry to Hoonah just because we had the time and wanted to check this small (tiny, really!) fishing village. We couldn't have picked two days with nicer weather - it was absolutely gorgeous. Here are a few photos from our trip.

One very cool wagon!

I've always been so impressed with people that can take someone's "trash" and turn it into a treasure! That's exactly what Guy did with this ultra cool wagon he found down the street with a free sign on it. Here are the before pictures ...

Look at this awesome helper...

And now for the treasure Dane and Jaeger now have thanks to Guy! I think it's too beautiful to actually use, but I'm sure my 2 sweet boys will veto that idea.

Can't get them to smile at the same time....

but I can get them to sleep at the same time so I can actually post some pictures to our blog!

I'm sure it will be a long time coming until I get them sleeping at the same time again, so enjoy! ;)

This kid LOVES his sunglasses!

Dan put Dane to sleep last night and this is how I found him when I checked in on him before I went to sleep...

What a character our son is!

Such a great visit!

What a wonderful 5 days we just had with Auntie Kissy and Uncle Sal and we were so sad to see them go. This was their first visit to Alaska so they mixed in some super cool touristy stuff with just hanging with our family. Of course, they were smitten with our newest addition and they still think Dane is pretty cute too! Here are a few shots from their visit.

Helicopter tour and a 1-hour trek on the glacier!

Tracy Arm Fjord Boat Trip

In our backyard, about to head out to pick blueberries.

Opening day of duck season fell right in the middle of Kristen and Sal's trip, so Dan took Sal to experience a true Alaskan past time.

Sistas!
