We're busy getting CRAFTY!
We've been having a blast getting our craft on these days!Dane is especially fascinated with snowmen* so that's what we've been spending a lot of our craft time making. Above is a sampling of some of the art we have made. For obvious reasons, his favorite was the marshmellow snowman. Needless to say, Dane now loves marshmellows! Maybe I should think about having him make a chicken or turkey snowman....hmmm... :)
Dane's other favorite was the Q-tip glitter snowflake. He loves shaking the glitter out of the bottle. So we combined his two favorite things - words and glitter and we've been making glitter names of all of our family. Dane absolutely loves these pieces of paper. He reads and plays with them all the time. Once we finish making everyone in the family, I'd like to make a book out of them for Dane and then he'll know how to read all of your important names!
*I'm pretty sure I have Wendy and Curtis to thank for this one. They gave Dane a snowman that sings "Jingle Bells" and he would sing and dance to that thing all day if we let him! After about 3 rounds of "Jingle Bells" Mommy and Daddy have had enough. Well, let's be honest - after only 1 round Daddy has usually had enough, so the poor singing snowman has mysteriously disappeared. He's spending some quality time with Dane's glasses!

BIG NEWS!!
Dane has gone potty in the BIG BOY potty 3 times now!! We are so proud. Don't worry, we won't torture you with any potty pictures, but we just wanted you to know that our little man is growing up. :) He's now avoiding bed time to sit on the potty. He's no dummy! ;)
Can't you just see him saying, "I'm a big boy now!"

And not to be outdone - Jaeger Ray would like to announce that he has officially had his first "solid" food - sweet potatoes. And boy did he LOVE them. (Would you expect anything else from this sweet chuck-a-monk?) He almost ate the entire container. That's my boy. :)

A new Christmas tradition
I was all about Christmas traditions this year. We already had a few in place - like taking a helicopter ride to see the Christmas lights and eating reindeer sausage on Christmas morning, but I want to add more each year as the boys get older. So this year we started our new tradition of making a Christmas ornament. As you can see only Dane participated as I think Jaeger's ornament would have turned into one big blob! He'll get to make his own next year. :)

Not to toot my own horn, but isn't that cutest thing you've ever seen?
Of course, I did not think of this adorable activity on my own. Here's the link to where I first saw this activity.

Thanksgiving Flashback!
Well, it's about stinkin' time! :)
Despite the fact it's taken me nearly 2 months to post pictures, we had a FABULOUS time in Rocky Point with Dan's family. It was so nice to get some time to just hang out with everyone. Dane especially loved spending time with his cousins - well, let's be honest - he especially LOVED all the "atees" (ATVs), motorcycles and randomly walking into vacationers RVs.
Jaeger just loved being held and stared at by everyone who needed a baby fix.
Oh my gosh, who let's their kid watch World Word in the middle of the RV park? Ummm....we do! It was nice to have a few minutes without chasing Dane who was chasing after all the ATVs and motorcycles!

It was awesome having Thanksgiving dinner outside and thanks to Margie & Amy we had a traditional meal. That's quite a feat with their tiny stoves and kitchens in their trailers.

Zachary passed along his coveted fire truck to Dane and it was an immediate hit! Amy also brought the cutest fireman's outfit to go along with it and everyone had a blast playing with the accessories.

Unk Tim and Auntie MmMm getting their Jaeger fix. As you can see, he loves this "squish" that Auntie MmMm gave him!

Playing football with Uncle Dan

And the best part of Dane's trip....
Driving the ATEES! At this exact moment his world could not have gotten any better.

Goodbye 2009!
What a wonderful year this has been! Here are a few of my favorite moments.
Of course, this sweet chunk-a-monk ranks in at #1. He just turned 5 months old and he is still the sweetest happiest baby and life is so much better with him here!

He's a crack up these days as exhibited in the above picture. He went around and sucked on all of our toes and he thought that was just hilarious! (And so did we!)
Dane has gone through quite a few phases this year. Here are some of our faves....
Hollywood!
Ms. Tina's yellow helmet phase. I think he wore this helmet around for about 3 months!
Wearing Daddy's shoes and his "man purse!" He still loves to wear our shoes, so that phase isn't quite over yet.
I despise these yellow boots!!! And the darn things still fit him. It would be fine with me if someone came over and stole them. ;)
This lawn mower was a HUGE hit and he wanted to play with it night and day the entire summer!
Being outside was (and still is) Dane's favorite thing to do. I believe this phase is how bribery in the Hubert household began. To avoid the kicking and screaming, I could be overheard saying, "I'll give you a chocolate chip if you can come in nicely."
The Cozy Coupe phase.
This sweet little car was the source of the WORST melt down Dane has ever had. I had to literally drag him out of nursery school kicking and screaming because he didn't want to stop playing with this car. Lindsi was our hero for finding one for Dane to have at home and this put an end to the nursery school blues.
The cooking phase - Dane still LOVES to cook which is not so good for our waistlines as our favorite thing to make is, of course, cookies. :)
Ward Air.
This is still one of Dane's favorite places to be. Who wouldn't want to be there with all the forklifts, planes, van, tools and helicopters? It's Juneau's version of Disneyland for Dane!
We were blessed with so many visitors this year! Here are some of our favorite pictures from those visits.
