Halloween - Hollywood Style!

In true Hollywood form, Dane had costume changes on Halloween. Here's outfit number 1 for Trick-or-Treating at the Mall. This happy boy is passed out on the floor in a sugary bliss! (And that's pretty Hollywood too!)
Look closely and you can see sticky Tootsie Pop goo on his chin.

And outfit number 2 for Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood. Dane definitely brought a smile to all of the people he came across. Our next door neighbor dumped the entire bowl of candy into his bag because she couldn't get over how adorable he was! And another neighbor down the road grabbed his face with both hands and said he was the most precious thing in the world. How sweet! But the funniest part of the night was when instead of a "Thank-You" Dane's response to someone putting candy in his bag was "1 more!" Of course, the neighbors happily obliged to his request.

By the way, this adorable sheep costume was made by our very own Nannie and also worn by Dane's two favorite cousins - Yaya and Bubba! And yep, Jaeger will proudly wear it in two years too. :)

Happy Birthday Chunk-A-Monk!

Today Jaeger is 3 months old! I can't imagine our lives without this sweet boy. He lights up a room and absolutely melts my heart with his cheeseburger grin. I have come to love so many things about Jaeger and here are a few...

*His rolly polly thighs that I can't wait to kiss every time I change his diaper
*His chubby knees that are the cutest things I've ever seen
*His marshmellow cheeks (that's a straight inheritance from Daddy!)
*His sweet smile (see above & below)
*His sweet coos and gurgles at just the sight of my face
*Rubbing his sweet head and watching him drift off to sleep
*Falling asleep together
*How happy he is all the time

I couldn't decide which one was the cutest so here are 3 of my sweetie in honor of his 3rd month birthday! :)

Arts & Crafts

Now that Dane is a little bit older, we've been trying to weave arts and crafts into our daily routine. Some days the craft proves successful (Auntie Jenna brought some Crayola Model Magic for Dane and he absolutely LOVED it! He actually sat at the table and "molded" for nearly 30 minutes - a huge feat for our little man.) and others not so much (I pulled out some yarn and Cheerios (thanks for the left overs Unc Sal!) and thought we'd make an eatable necklace. Well, Dane had other ideas. I think we only put one Cheerio on the yarn and the rest wound up on the floor, but Dane's laughter told me he still had a good time. :)

Here are some snaps of another successful arts and craft activity.

We flipped through the pages of an old magazine and Dane pointed at pictures he wanted to add to his collage. I cut them out and Dane rubbed on the glue and stuck them on to his paper.

Here's the final product -

And what was my Chunk-a-Monk doing....

Sleeping of course! He's exhausted after all that eating and smiling he does. :)

Why spend a fortune on toys?

All of the best toys in our house were definitely not purchased in the toy aisle! Case in point...

Thanks for the collapsible laundry basket Amy! As you can tell, we are getting loads of fun out it. :)

Just another beautiful day in Juneau!

By the way, this was taken from Dane's new favorite family hike - The Airport Trail. He was absolutely in love with all the float planes and wheel planes he got to see. He is in LOVE with anything that flies lately and just so you know all of his planes and "ha-cocks" (helicopters) fly exclusively to Home Depot. So if you need a ride to The Home Deep, Dane's your man. :)
